Or simpler, don’t start a load of clothes if you have plans on leaving.

A washing machine water hose is a simple task but also needs to be done immediately if any bulge, leak or crack is discovered.  The washer hose should ideally be replaced with a hose made of stainless steel if it is over three years old, you replace your existing washing machine or if you decide to move.
